From the back of the envelope: Jalapenos are noted for their zesty hot flavor widely used in Mexican cuisine. The blunt-pointed, thick-walled fruits grow about 3" long, and have a deep green color maturing to red. Excellent for pickling, and for adding zest to salads and dips. Can be threaded on string and dried for a colorful ornament.

Care: Water regularly and fertilize when plants are 6: tall and again in mid-summer.
Harvest: Carefully cut fruits from plants when full size, whether green or red, but before they begin to soften. Harvest regularly.
