Start indoors and transplant in containers or directly in the ground when the plants reach to about one inch tall. Recao, Culantro (Mexican coriander), cilantro ancho, like well drain soil & partial to full sun. Killed by frost. Do not over-water. USA hardiness soil = ALL when planted in containers. This cooking herb is extremely fragrant and will always add a very particular taste to your favorite dishes. A must use in Sofrito making. Use large bottom leaves first, then when the plant start flowering you want to trim the flower to encourage new and larger leaves growth. Keep trimming the flower for about 2-3 times and then finally let the flower grow to produce new seeds.

Culantro does not grow long - deep roots, therefore it will make a perfect candidate to plant in small pots. Place the potted plants near your kitchen window (for sun exposure) and enjoy the fragrance while adding this wonderful cooking herb to your foods. Water when needed.

Aaaanother Tip***

After trimming the flowers for 2-3 times you finally want to let Mother Nature do her job. Let the plant(s) flower (at this stage all leaves will start to dry) then when the seeds start turning yellow go ahead and collect them. Sun dry them, plant them in rows and about 1/8 inch deep, water 2-3 times daily until they begin to germinate. Then water 4-5 times a week. And there you go... new plants again! Do not forget to water your plants.
